Storage Instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2–8°C.
Description
AHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide composed of alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine complexed with a copper(II) ion. It is a close structural analogue of GHK-Cu, differing by a single residue at the N-terminus where alanine replaces glycine. Like other copper peptide complexes, it carries Cu2+ in a stable chelated form.
Research Context
AHK-Cu has been examined in published laboratory studies alongside other copper tripeptides, with research exploring dermal papilla cell behaviour, keratinocyte and fibroblast activity, and vascular endothelial growth factor expression in cell culture models. Supplied exclusively for in vitro laboratory research purposes.
